Healthtv "Freddie Award" Finalist

August 10, 2002.... NEW YORK.... Healthtv's first entry in- North America's Preeminent health and medical media competition, "The Freddie Awards" has netted a finalist spot.

Healthtv's "Nutrition and Recovery: Oncology" is nominated in the Nutrition Category - Beating out competitors that include HBO, PBS, Discovery Health and CNN.

Kathy Kastner, CEO of The Health Television System Inc. (HTS) - which owns and operates Healthtv: "Being selected as a Freddie's finalist acknowledges the quality of Healthtv's work in the direct-to-patient environment."

The Freddie Awards are now in their 28th year. Donna Hill Howes, executive producer explains: "The competition's goal has always been to encourage and celebrate excellence and every year it attracts documentaries, series, shorts, videos, Web sites and CD-ROM's from around the world."
