not already available via an existing outside telephone extension
in the room allocated for our service prior to our installation.
- Healthtv
is provided access to the Hospital's Master Antenna TV system
to hook up our equipment to utilize an existing patient education
channel provided by your Hospital.
This requirement applies to hospitals that do not own their television
systems or TV sets, but already provide their own choice of programming
to their patients on an existing patient education channel as
a public service.
All other hospitals are encouraged to individually approach their
television system supplier to update their existing service contract
according to the terms and conditions of those specific arrangements.
Educational channel allocations for use within the hospital television
system are routinely offered today by progressive facilities as
a no-charge public service that enhances the public perception
of services available to them at their hospital.
